AND TRANSFER OF THE CABLE COMMUNICATIONS <br />FRANCHISE ORDiNANC]g TO NORTH CENTRAL CABLE COMMUNICATIONS, L.P. <br /> <br /> Wqb31~EA_~;, Group W Cable, Inc., a New York Corporation, by and through <br />Group W C;d~L~ o'f the Quad Cities, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, (hereinafter <br />co].iectiv<.]7 "G-,~o~.~p W Cab3e") owns, operates and maintains a cable television <br />system in ti,~ [iicy pursuant to the terms and conditions of City Ordinance ~82- <br />14 (herei~,~flc~ "Cab3e Communications Franchise Ordinance"); and <br /> <br /> WH]<RE~!;~ Group W Cab3e has requested the consent from the City to a <br />transfe], of ow,e,'ship and control of Group W Cable and transfer of the Cable <br />Commu. nicat:~.~ ~'ranchise Ordinance as amended to North Central Cable <br />CommunicatJ. ou~.~ ~.=P~ (hereinafter "North Central"); and <br /> <br /> W!B,;REA;:<~ the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission (hereinafter <br />"Commis~ic,") ba~ been delegated the authority and responsibility to <br />coordinate= ;~dw.;~,ister and enforce the Cable Communications Franchise Ordinance <br />on beha]f o} Ci.t~ pursuant to the terms of a Joint and Cooperative Agreement <br />for the A.dm'i~i.~.i~ ~t'ion of a Cable Television Franchise; and <br /> <br /> W}~'I:~REA:~. the CommLssion has held a public hearing on behalf of City <br />and has fey.iow,?:;: the legal, technical, and financial qualifications of North <br />Central; <br /> <br /> Wlil';R~;A;q, the Commission has recommended to City denial of the <br />transfer o!' ow~e~ship and control of Group W Cable and transfer of the Cable <br />Communicat~<.r'~; ?:,~nchise Ordinance to North Central. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE.~ B~~ IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STAT~i OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> .{) b~ ed upon the Findings of Fact and Conclusions of the Quad <br />Cities Cable <:,,r,n~nications Commission (attached hereto and made a part hereof) <br />the C~ty d~ni.~ ti~; request to approve the transfer of ownership and control of <br />Group W Cable o'; i_~he Quad Cities, Inc. and transfer of the Cable Communications <br />Franchise {)r:~i~¥?:~ to Nortt~ Central Cable Communications, L.P. <br /> <br />The motion l~ ~l'-~ adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmembe~ (~r,:,< and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor <br /> <br />and the fo]i.~.,:i~g uotcd against: the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
