Councilmember Schlueter introduced the following resolution and <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #86-170 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING A GENERAL RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of a records retention schedule is <br />to provide a plan for managing governmental records by giving <br />continuing authority to dispose of records under Minnesota <br />Statutes 138.17; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the retention schedule establishes a minimum <br />retention period for city records based on their administrative, <br />fiscal, legal and historical value. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T~{E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Council of Ramsey hereby approves <br />adoption of the General Records Retention Schedule For Cities as <br />prepared by the State of Minnesota, Department of Administration, <br />Data and Records Management Division (November, 1985 publication <br />date). <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann <br />Councilmember DeLuca <br />Councilmember Schlueter <br />Councilmember Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of Octobers 1986. <br /> <br />ATTES~y / <br /> <br /> City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
