Councilmemher ~;orteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88-72 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1988 PAVEMENT <br />CRACK F~I,L!NG (SERVICE PROJECT 88-3) <br /> <br /> WHERE,~S, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1988 pavement crack filling <br />(Service Project 88-3), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Base Bid <br /> <br />E~er,.:!man Companies, Inc. <br />Zimmerman Construction <br />Ast~ch Asphalt <br /> <br /> $8,300 <br />$10,900 <br />$11,470 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the <br />lowest re:;porL~:Jbl.': bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That ~ho Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contF~Ci: with Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the name of the City <br />of Ramsey for the improvement of 1988 Pavement Crack Filling according to the plans <br />and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office <br />of th~; Cih/ Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The ~;;ity Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br />bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful <br />biddeF and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion oJ: the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cox <br />and upon vote i~eing taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> <br />May(, ~-,ieiinann <br />Councilmember Sorteberg <br />Courmilrne~nber Cox <br />Cot~r~cih'nember Pearson <br />Cotm(:ihnember [)eLuca <br /> <br />and the foIIowinf.j w.)~ed against the same: <br /> <br />and the fo~lowin9 2~bstained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and lhe following were absent: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
