Councilmemher ~;orteberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #88-72 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1988 PAVEMENT CRACK F~I,L!NG (SERVICE PROJECT 88-3) WHERE,~S, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1988 pavement crack filling (Service Project 88-3), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Base Bid E~er,.:!man Companies, Inc. Zimmerman Construction Ast~ch Asphalt $8,300 $10,900 $11,470 WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the lowest re:;porL~:Jbl.': bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That ~ho Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contF~Ci: with Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the name of the City of Ramsey for the improvement of 1988 Pavement Crack Filling according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of th~; Cih/ Administrator/Clerk. 2) The ~;;ity Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful biddeF and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
