Councilmcmb{:r ~;oneberg introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88-243 <br /> <br />RESOL~ITION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BID FOR 1000 GALLON FIRE <br />PUMPER <br /> <br /> WI[~I,;RE~iS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for a 1000 gallon fire pumper for the <br />City of Ramscy Fire Department, the following bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according tt~ law ~m December 1, t988 (see Attachment 1 for deviations from specifications): <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Safety Products, Inc. <br /> <br />$148,477.00 <br /> <br />(knerat Safety Products, Inc. <br /> <br />$148,645.00 <br /> <br /> AN~) Wt~EREAS, on December 22, 1988 the Ramsey Fire Board recommended that <br />the City accept fi~'. bid from General Safety Products, Inc. for a 1000 gallon fire pumper; and <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS~ the Fire Board recommended and additional $1,950.00 for Jacob's engine <br />brake. <br /> <br />NOW TI~tEIiE~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That dm Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />comrac~ with General Safety Products, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for purchase <br />of a 1 (~}0 ~:allon fhe pumper for the City of Ramsey Fire Department according to the plans <br />and :~pecifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Thru the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br />bidders thc~ deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and next k~west bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion lot t~e adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />DeLuca and upon ~qote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the foiilowi~g './oted against the same: <br /> <br />and the fbllt~wmg }~bstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
