Councilmernb.er PeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-04-81 <br /> <br />RESOLU'flON APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #88-21 <br />N.W. STORM SEWER AND STREET CONSTRUCTION) <br /> <br />AND ORDERING <br /> 153RD AVENUE <br /> <br /> W~iEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on October <br />11, 1988, thc? City Engineer, Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., has <br />prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project #87-21 (153rd Avenue N.W. <br />Storm Sewer and Street Construction) and has presented such plans and specifications to the <br />Council for ;~pproval. <br /> <br />NOW THER'EF©RE, BE i'T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1 ) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> ~ ) Fhat the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br />official newpaper (Anoka County Union) and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids <br />upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br />advertisement sh;.,Jt be published for twenty-one (21) days, shall specify the work to be done, <br />and shall state '~l~zt bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on May 19, <br />1989, at whid~ time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal C~der by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and <br />submitted to the State's Municipal Agreements Engineer for concurrence by the State in the <br />award of the comract. Upon written notice of concurrence by the State, the City Council will <br />consider the hms. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid <br />will be give[~ ~m opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility.
