Councilmember Cich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-05-94 <br /> <br />RESOLU't'I¢)N CONFIRMING PERSONNEL COMMITTEE ACTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on Monday, May 8, 1989 at 5:00 p.m. the Personnel Committee of <br />the City of Ramsey met to consider filling the vacancies of Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />and Personnel Coordinator and to discuss the full-time status of the Building Maintenance <br />position, the hirin~ of a secretary, and the employee status of Bruce Bacon, Tree Inspector/Fire <br />Warden. <br /> <br />NOW THEREF©RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The City Council of Ramsey hereby confirms the following actions of the Personnel Committee: <br /> <br /> I) 'fhat the City Administrator is authorized to offer the position of Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker to Mr. Grant Riemer with a starting rate of pay of $8.55 per hour <br />and a starling da~e of May 15, 1989, contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment physical <br />examination. In the event that Mr. Grant Riemer does not accept/qualify for the position, the <br />City Administrator is authorized to extend the same offer to Mr. James Lacey. <br /> <br /> 2) 'Fhat the Building Maintenance position is established as full-time effective <br />May t5, 198g <br /> <br /> :{) ri'hat the employment status of Mr. Bruce Bacon, Tree Inspector/Fire Warden <br />is changed from contractor to part-time regular employee with an hourly rate of pay of $9,50 <br />effective May 15, 1989 and that monthly retainer and office costs will be discontinued effective <br />June 1, 19~f,q. <br /> <br /> 4) That the City Administrator is authorized to advertise for a full-time <br />secretary/clerical position. <br /> <br />The motion for thc. adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor F~eimann <br />Cou[ic:ilmo~nber Cich <br />Councihnornber Pearson <br />Councilmember DeLuca <br />CoLff~c:ihqeJnber Peterson <br /> <br />and the followind v,.~ted against the same: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and the following ~;bstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
