Councilmembor Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-05-97 RESOLU-['ION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE ELEVATED STORAGE! 'rANK CONTROLS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 87-19 WHEREAS, pursuant to an invitation for bids May 1, 1989 for the elevated storage tank controls (Improvement Project 87-19) bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, ~,,nd the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Amount of Bid Bentec Engineering Corp. McKinley/Hill Corp. $14,750 $16,200 AI',!I) WHEREAS, it appear Bentec Engineering Corp. of Eden Prairie, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) 1 hat the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to award a cont~'aci to Bentec Engineer Corp. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Elevated Storage T,~nk Cordrols Improvement Project 87-19 according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City AdministratodOlerk. 2) 1he City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bMders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder ~.nd two next lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
