Councilmernh~;~r Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-05-102 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING <br />NINETY (91)) ;9~,YS FOR COLLEEN RYBAK <br /> <br /> WI-IEREAS, the labor agreement between the City of Ramsey and American <br />Federation of GIate, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Council No. 14, Local No. <br />2454, provide,'~, fo~ leaves of absence when granted by the employer (City of Ramsey); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Colleen Rybak has requested a leave of absence due to maternity for <br />a period of nin~r,~ly (90) calendar days effective on or about June 5, 1989; and <br /> <br />WliEREAS, the effective date of the leave will be determined by the employee's <br /> <br />doctor; and <br /> <br /> WI~EREAS, Colleen Rybak will first use any earned but not used vacation, <br />compensatory, and sick leave and requests the remaining days as leave without pay; and <br /> <br /> Wl iEREAS, the employer does not contribute toward the employee insurance <br />allowance du~ lng ~mpaid leaves of absence; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, if requested by the employee, the City will extend employee <br />insurance benefits during the unpaid leave, provided the employee makes payment of the actual <br />insurance coht to the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, AN(_')KA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 'i ) That the City Council of Ramsey hereby approves Colleen Rybak's request <br />for a ninety (,.30) calendar day leave of absence effective on or about June 5, 1989. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cich <br />and upon votr; being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />May¢)r ~{oiinanr~ <br />Cour~(;ilme~nber Peterson <br />Coui~cihnember Cich <br />Councilrne~nber DeLuca <br />Councihr~e~nber Pearson <br /> <br />and the fo!lowi~g voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />Norle <br /> <br /> <br />
