Councilmember I}cLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-05-114 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 88,-2t STORM SEWER AND STREET CONSTRUCTION 153RD AVENUE N.W. WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids dated April 25, 1989 for Improvem~;nt Projoct 88-21, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following [:)ids wot,: received complying with the advertisement: _B,_[dd e r Base Bid Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. Bury & Carlson, Inc. $140,864.25 $146,525.75 $152,999.70 $156,762.05 $162,300.80 $162,931.60 $164,440.90 $166,763.35 $178,895.20 ANO WHEREAS, it appears that Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. of Buffalo, Minnesota is the Iow~,~st responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: i ) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to awsrd a contract of Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for Improvement Project 8821, according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer' and on tile in the office of the City AdministratodClerk. ;-'~) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ;_tll bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidd~?r ~,nd two next lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
