Councilmeml)~;r [)~[..uca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-06-117 RESOLU'I'ION /[PPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISFE~tENTS FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #89-5 (153RD AVENUE N.W. O;['rWEEN C.S.A.H. NO. 5 AND S.T.H. NO. 47) '¥VHCREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 30, 1989, H~k~.~n~on Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for Improvem~nt F'roj~,ct #89-5 and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THERI~,F-O~{E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AI~I~.)K~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I ) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part he~a~)~, are hereby approved. :;' i That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaF,~;r (Anoka County Union) and in the Construction Bulletin no later than June 16, 1989 an ~d,~,r;r'iisemenl for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and Sl:)~.,.~ifi~.;ations. The advertisement shall be published for a period of time in accordance; with State Statutes, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by th~, City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on June 27, 1989, at which time they will be publicly o~-~r~eH in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrato~r ar~<t City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Coun(;il ~t 7:,~i0 p.m. no later than June 27, 1989 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose resl~)on~;ibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address th~; ~;o~ncil on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with th~? City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or cer~ifi~;~t ~:i]eck payable to the Cily of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid.
