Councilmemb~;r DeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-06-120 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENI~S FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #89-8 (153RD AVENUE N,W, I~t.iTWEEN ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD N.W. AND PUMA STREET N.W.) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 30, 1989, Hakm~son Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Proieot #89-8 and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THERI~FOHE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: '1 ) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereol, are hereby approved. ~ ) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper (Anoka County Union) and in the Construction Bulletin no later than June 16, 1989 an adw~,rdsement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for a period of time in accordanc(; with S/ate Statutes, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by tho City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on June 27, 1989, at which time they will be publicly oper~ed in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrato~ arid City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council al '7:30 p.rn. no later than June 27, 1989 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed will) ~he, Oily Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified ci~eck payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid.
