Councilmemh~;r Cich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-06-131 <br /> <br />RESOLUTIOH RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />REMODELIN~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 23, 1989 the following bids were received for the Fire <br />Department mn~odeling project: <br /> <br />Mikkelson-Wulff <br />Guimont Construction <br />Tri-Co Construction <br />Dailey Construction <br />Spraungel Construction <br />Nordling Construction <br /> <br />$54,123.00 <br />$58,848.20 <br />$61,660.00 <br />$64,799.00 <br />$65,933.OO <br />$70,549.00 <br /> <br /> ANI_;i WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Administrator and Fire <br />Chief that the tmd6'-rground exhaust system and folding partition be eliminated from the contract; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the apparent Iow bidder is Mikkelson~Wulff with a bid of <br />$54,123.00. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOK/~, COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the aforelisted bids. <br /> <br /> 2) Further that the City Administrator is hereby authorized to award the <br />contract for Fire Department remodeling to Mikkelson-Wulff in an original amount of <br />$54,123.00 arid is further authorized to delete the underground exhaust system and the folding <br />partition. <br /> <br /> 3) Further that the City Administrator is authorized to either accept a <br />competitive cha[~ge order for an overhead exhaust system and metal stud/gypsum board wall or <br />to seek subcontm_ctor's bids for these improvements. <br /> <br />The motion for 'ihe adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />DeLuca and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayo.,' I;{eimann <br />Co~ncilmember Cich <br />Councilmember DeLuca <br />Councilrrmrr~ber Pearson <br />CouncilFrmr~ber Peterson <br /> <br /> <br />
