Councilmembo~ I;),-;l_uca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-06-135 RESOLU-FiON I~,UTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PARK EQUIPMENT FOR TITTERUD PARK WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has approved the 1989 Parks Capital Irnprovomenls Budget which includes $3,000.00 plus overhead for purchase of playground equipnm, nt for Titterud Park; and WFiEREAS, said funds, overhead, and contingency (the total amount not to exceed $3,900.00) are to be appropriated from the General Fund 1989 Budget for Parks Capital ImprovemenI,';; arm WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission, at their June 8, 1989 meeting, recomm~mded lhe purchase of "Landscape Structures" Model 8986 (formerly Model 8742) at ;~ wl-lol.c,:~;ale list price of $2,701.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'r RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOK/~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: i ) That City Staff is directed to purchase said equipment in accordance with City purchasi~g procedures. 2 ) That City Staff is directed to enlist the help of volunteer groups to the extent possib!e for installing the equipment at the park. 3) That Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. provide a layout sketch for placement ol th~, eqtJiprnent at the park. 4 ) That purchase of sand or pea rock and border timbers are hereby authorized, i;' n~ce:;sary, to provide a resilient surface under and around the play apparatus.
