Councilmembo~ I;),-;l_uca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-06-135 <br /> <br />RESOLU-FiON I~,UTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PARK EQUIPMENT FOR TITTERUD PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has approved the 1989 Parks <br />Capital Irnprovomenls Budget which includes $3,000.00 plus overhead for purchase of <br />playground equipnm, nt for Titterud Park; and <br /> <br /> WFiEREAS, said funds, overhead, and contingency (the total amount not to exceed <br />$3,900.00) are to be appropriated from the General Fund 1989 Budget for Parks Capital <br />ImprovemenI,';; arm <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission, at their June 8, 1989 <br />meeting, recomm~mded lhe purchase of "Landscape Structures" Model 8986 (formerly Model <br />8742) at ;~ wl-lol.c,:~;ale list price of $2,701.00. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'r RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOK/~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> i ) That City Staff is directed to purchase said equipment in accordance with <br />City purchasi~g procedures. <br /> <br /> 2 ) That City Staff is directed to enlist the help of volunteer groups to the <br />extent possib!e for installing the equipment at the park. <br /> <br /> 3) That Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. provide a layout sketch for <br />placement ol th~, eqtJiprnent at the park. <br /> <br /> 4 ) That purchase of sand or pea rock and border timbers are hereby <br />authorized, i;' n~ce:;sary, to provide a resilient surface under and around the play apparatus. <br /> <br />The motion for th~:; adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and ul)o~ voto being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor F-',ei~nann <br />Oo4~noilrnot ~ber DeLuca <br />Councilrnember Cich <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Co,:mcitmornber Peterson <br /> <br />and the foliowinfi w;ted against the same: <br /> <br />Nol'~O <br /> <br />and the foliowi~H r~)stained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
