Councilmember (;ich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-06-153 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1989 SEALCOATING IMPROVEM[!NI' PROJECTS #89-5, 6, 7, 8, AND 9 W?;EREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 1989 Sealcoating Improvement Proiects #89-5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, ;:md the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Amount of Bid Allied Blacktop Company $27,166.70 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota is. Ih,} lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFOi{E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOK_f~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: · ~- ) That the Mayor and City AdministratodClerk are hereby authorized and directed to enh?r ifdo a contract with Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1989 sealcoating improvement projects according to the plans and spe~';ific;-ttions therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City /\dmii~istrator/Clerk. ;'. ) That the award of the project shall be contingent on Mn/DOT approval of the plans for 15Jrd/wenue N.W. between CSAH No. 5 and T.H. No. 47. :; ) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return fortt~wilh to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidd.:;r and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
