Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-07-172A RESOI,U'I']ON FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (#89-6 RODEO HILLS ESTATES ST~E~'iT SEAL COATING IMPROVEMENT) W~{NR}.'.AS, by a resolution passed by the council on July 25, the City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessmer:~ of the cost of improving the streets in the plat of Rodeo AND W~iEiM~AS, the City Administrator has notified the council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in his office ~or p~blic inspection, NOW THF, R6, FORi-], BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RAMSEY, MINNESOT~ ~ 1) A heauJng :shall be held on the 15th day of August in the city hail a~ -/.~!~0 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time arid pl,,ce, all persons owning property affected by such improvemer~k will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such as,}(; ~sment. 2) The C[~.? Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hea}~ [n~ ~m the proposed assessment to be published once in the official] ~.'w~paper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall ~ta~,~ i.n the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall a]so cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel, de}~':A~}bed in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to ~!~. hearings~ 3) The own~' of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certiflcah!~ of the assessment to be county auditor, pay the whole of the as~s~ment of such property, with interest accrued to the date of p~yment, to the cJ_ty, except that no interest shall be charged .k[ ih{~ entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption o3! ihe assessment. He may at any time thereafter, pay to the CJ.ty l~e entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest ~c}ued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made. ~:~{~h payment must be made before October 15 or interest will be (~!~x-Qed through December 31 of the succeeding year.
