Councilmc~i~c~' ~ '.ich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-08-197 <br /> <br />RESOIAJT~(?N AD()PTING ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #89-7- <br />BEAIJI)R¥~S SECOND ADDITION STREET SEALCOATING) <br /> <br /> W~IEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Ramsey <br />City Cotn~cil h a:, ~ t~et and hem'd and pas sed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />following ,,;t~'t:ci :;,.:aicoating improvement: <br /> <br />153rd Avenue N.W. between Ramsey Blvd. N.W. and Jasper Street N.W. <br /> <br />t 52nd Avenue N.W. between Ramsey Blvd. N.W. and its cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Jasper Street N.W. between 153rd Avenue N.W. and the plat boundary of <br />P, eaudry's 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />l {ematite Street N.W. between 152nd Avenue N.W. and approximately 400 <br />feet north of the plat boundary of Beaudry's 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />NOW TIIEREI,'OI{E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE¥? ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> i ) 'Fhat such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a par; t-,c~'c~, is hc'reby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands <br />named th,zr{:i~. :md each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the <br />proposed it~ t~: a,~ ~ount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br /> 'l'hat such assessment shall be payable in variable annual installments <br />extc nclin g o vt~r ~ pc;ri od of three years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the <br />first Mon&~ y i~ .i~.mmry, 1990 and shall bear interest at the rate of 8.0 per cent annum from the <br />date of th~: ~doptirm of this assessment resolution. To the fkst installment shall be added interest <br />on the online :',ss~.'ssment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1989. To each <br />subsequer~I i~-,stal h ~ent when clue shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br /> 5) That the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to <br />certificati~ m ~[ th{.: assessment to the Anoka County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on <br />such prop,:rty, wit!t interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Department, except <br />that no it~tcr,::4i .~i~[l! be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of <br />this rcsoluti,m; a~M he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Department the entire <br />amount el' ti~: :ts.~;,..ssment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in <br />which such pt~:,,~:~t is made. Such payment must be made before October 10, 1989 or interest <br />will be ch:u'g{ :~t ih i'ough December 31 of the next succeeding year. <br /> <br /> .1) That the City transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the Anoka <br />County A~l(li~oc>, (~['iice to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and such assessments <br />shall bo colh,,,:l~.,[ ~,nd p~fid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br /> <br />
