CouncJ]~r~'~bc.~r DeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-08-204 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (#89-2 156TH AVENUE <br />N.W. STRi',EU' ]iMPROVEMENT) <br /> <br /> WHNRiiAS~ by' a resolution passed by the council on August 15, <br />1989, tt~e City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed <br />assessment of the cost of improving 156th Avenue N.W. between <br />Ramsey 13]wd. and the plat of High Point. <br /> <br /> AND W~[EREA. S~ the City Administrator has notified the council <br />that suct~ proposed assessment has been completed and filed in his <br />office fo~' public inspection, <br /> <br />NOW THERE].'OR},i, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESO'F.?\~ <br /> <br />1) A hea'~iNg shall be held on the 5th day of September in the city <br />hall at 7~00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />time and }?]ace all persons owning property affected by such <br />improveme}ri~ will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference <br />to such a~sessment. <br /> <br />2) The Ci~:,5, Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of <br />the hea['i3~g en the proposed assessment to be published once in the <br />official 3]ews:paper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he <br />shall sk, a.i~e in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall al~> csuse mailed notice to be given to the owner of each <br />parcel d~sc~{~ibed in the assessment roll not less than two weeks <br />prior to i~h{~ hearings. <br /> <br />3) The ew]~er of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to <br />certific~J~J{~ of the assessment to be county auditor, pay the whole <br />of the &,~:sessment of such property, with interest accrued to the <br />date of }~5~ment, to the city, except that no interest shall be <br />charged J~ [.he entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the <br />adoption (~i [~he assessment. He may at any time thereafter, pay to <br />the City ~he entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />interesk ~c~}'~ed to December 31, of the year in which such payment <br />is made~ S~<t payment must be made before October 15 or interest <br />will }De c]~orge through December 31 of the succeeding year. <br /> <br />The mot~i~ J..'_.,r the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded t~V Councilmember Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the foll~,wir~?
