CouncJ.]?a~m)~r DeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~89-08-206 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (%89-10 HEMATITE <br />STREET ~ir'-9~!¥}VEMENT) <br /> <br /> WHt.iI{~i;RS, by a resolution passed by the council on August 15, <br />1989, the (iJty Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed <br />assessment n~f 'the cost. of improving Hematite Street between 154th <br />Lane and iL61h Lane N.W. <br /> <br /> AND Wt{NREA. S, the City Administrator has notified the council <br />that suc}~. ~,r(~posed assessment has been completed and filed in his <br />office f~' }~ublic inspection, <br /> <br />NOW THEH}:}"{~NN, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTa: <br /> <br /> 1) 7~ l~ea]lJ.n.g shall be held on the 5th day of September in the <br />city ha]]. ~1 7:10 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at <br />such time ~d place all persons owning property affected by such <br />improvem~n'[ will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference <br />to such n~cssment. <br /> <br /> 2) r~'~}{i City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice <br />of the h~.~v~i~g on the proposed assessment to be published once in <br />the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and <br />he shall slate in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall a].s,} ~a~use mailed notice to be given to the owner of each <br />parcel des~ribed in the assessment roll not less than two weeks <br />prior to '%h~ hearings. <br /> <br /> 3) 'Ot~e owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior <br />to certJ, l~ic~{ion of the assessment to be county auditor, pay the <br />whole of !_h~ assessment of such property, with interest accrued to <br />the date ,~ payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be <br />charged i.l~ {~he entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the <br />adoption ~! ~he assessment. He may at any time thereafter, pay to <br />the C~ty the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />interesL ,~c(:rued to December 31, of the year in which such payment <br />is made. S~ch payment must be made before October 15 or interest <br />will be <:}~a~'ge through.
