Counc~ im~r~ber DeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION %89-08-208 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION V~)?, HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (87-18 AND 88-9 FRONT <br />STREET) <br /> <br /> W}!E~E.'\S~ by a resolution passed by the council on August 15, <br />1989, the City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed <br />assessment of the cost of improving the streets of Front Street, <br />Tungsten A'.zenue, Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Feldspar Street. <br /> <br /> AND WiN!;REAS, the City Administrator has notified the council <br />that such i~'~posed assessment has been completed and filed in his <br />office for ?~b!J.c inspectJ_on, <br /> <br />NOW THER'~,IFO}~R~ BE IT RESOI.,VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> 1) A ]~.~aring shall be held on the 5th day of September in the <br />city hal! ~J~ 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at <br />such tim~ and place all persons owning property affected by such <br />improvem(~,~[ v~J. Jl be given an opportunity to be heard with reference <br />to such ~;e~sment. <br /> <br /> 2) 'Ch~ {lity Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice <br />of the bea~ ]~g on the proposed assessment to be published once in <br />the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and <br />he shall '~t;,te in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall a]~,.~ ~ause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each <br />parcel, d~crJbed in the assessment roll not less than two weeks <br />prior te '~h~' Nearings. <br /> <br /> 3) ?i~ ~wner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior <br />to cer'tific~tion of the assessment to be county auditor, pay the <br />whole o~ ~ he assessment of such property, with interest accrued to <br />the date ~i~ payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be <br />charged [~i 'L~,e entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the <br />adoption (>~[ [he assessment.
