Councilmen Ii~:~' ?carson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-08-210 RES()I,UT~ON REQUESTING DISTRICT V OF THE MINNESOTA DEPARYMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ERECT "NO PARKING" SIGNS ON HIGIIWAV -#~0 WITHIN THE CITY OF RAMSEY ~HEREAS, the shoulders on Highway gl0 N.W. in the City of Ramsey are intended to t,e used only for ernergency purposes; and ~ffHEREAS, motorists frequently park their vehicles on the shoulder while shopping al busi~esses located along Highway #10 N.W.; and WHEREAS, the parking of said vehicles along Highway #10 N.W. represents a potential Ibc ?~at bodily harm and property damage; and W~3[EREAS, the City of Ramsey desires to eliminate this potential of great bodily harm and prop,~i~ iy damage; and W~;tEREAS, the City of Ramsey is actively working on the improvement of the City's imagt: b/i~...~proving the appearance of the Highway #10 Corridor area. NOW THEREFOIt:E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEV~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the City hereby requests District V of the Minnesota Department of Transportation to erect "No Parking" signs on Highway #10 N.W. within the City of Ramsey. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is authorized to communicate this resolution to i)i str.:ct V of the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
