Councihnetnber {i6;Luca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-11-309 <br /> <br />RESOLUT!()N ~IEQUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO <br />RELAX V,IEIGI'/T RESTRICTIONS ON THE FERRY STREET/MISSISSIPPI RIVER <br />BRIDGE <br /> <br /> W!~IEREAS, the Economic Development Commission of the City of Ramsey has <br />recently (:orr, pteted the 1989 Business Retention and Expansion Survey; and <br /> <br /> W~]EREAS, the Business Retention and Expansion Survey showed an adverse <br />economic impact on the City's businesses by the weight restrictions on the Ferry <br />Street/Mi.%i,,;~;ippi River Bridge; and <br /> <br /> Wi-tEREAS, the Economic Development Commission of the City of Ramsey <br />requested C,:mnc:,I action to request that the Minnesota Department of Transportation relax the <br />weight restrictions; and <br /> <br /> WI tEREAS, the proposed temporary bridge has been given priority <br />constructior~ .~;hthJs and completion is expected in 1991. <br /> <br />NOW THEF,'EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOK,,".
