Councilmc~ nbt:r Pctcrson introducext thc following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-12-340 RES()I,tITI(~N RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT IIANI)ICAI> ACCESSIBILITY AND IMPROVEMENTS TO (;()VERNMI~;NT BUILDINGS (PROJECT #89-18) FOR THE RAMSEY W}IEREAS, the City of Ramsey has entered into an agreement with Anoka County for Col ~-mm nity l)evelopment Block Grant (CDBG) Funds; and W~I~EREAS, the City has authorized Graphic Design Architect's to prepare plans and spccificai, i~ ms for the project; and W(IEI;tEAS, Graphic Design Architect's has submitted the plans and specification ~ to li~c City Council on August 22, 1.989; and YVt:tEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution #89-18-212 which accepted thc plans and sgccifications and instructed Graphic Design Architect's to prepare and advertise for bids on it{m~s i ih:ough 15 and 17; and WiIfEREAS, on October 26, 1989, the City of Ramsey received one bid from MikkclsomW~dfl' Construction in the amount of Twenty-one Thousand One Hundred Three Dollars amt 01),, (,3 cents ($21,103.00); and W[IEREAS, the architect's estimate for said work was Ten Thousand Seven t tundrcd q'hi~ty !.kfliars and 00/100 cents ($10,730.00) which exceeds the 15% bid acceptance standard; anrl W[[EREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #89-11-292 re- advertisir~g for hMs and setting the bid opening date for 1989 Community Development Block Grant (C})I?.~,) i:unds Project #89-18 (Handicap Accessibility Improvements to Ramsey Govermncm t~,~il(ii ngs; and W~IEREAS, on December 14, 1989, the City of Ramsey received five bids as stated and (t¢~:,'i1~'.(:1 in a letter from Graphic Design Architect's dated December 19, 1989; and W~iEREAS, said bids are as follows: ! [t~ncrN:rg Construction !'~ngco (;eneral Contractors I'ri .Co Construction M ikkcl son-Wulff Construction Nordling Construction $13,868.00 $14,671.00 $14,900.00 $16,857.00 $18,938.00 NOW TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMS;EV~ COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1') That bids are accepted pursuant to the letter from Graphic Design Architect's dated l)ecc~,~bcr 19, 1989. 2) That Hunerberg Construction be awarded the construction job for the Handicap Acccssit>ilily hnprovements to the Ramsey City Hall in the amount Thirteen Thousand Eight I lu~,drc'd ;m,[ Sixty-eight Dollars and 00/100 cents ($13,868.00).
