Cotmci hnembcr lkarson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-03-081 <br /> <br />III~S()i.I/rI'iON RECOGNIZING GARY REIMANN AND MARGARET <br />CONNOI,I.Y A?, CITY OF RAMSEY VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR <br /> <br />W~ IER EAS, March 4 - 11, 1990 is Volunteer of America Week; and <br /> <br />Wf, IEIIE^ S, Volunteer of America Week is being recognized by the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOW THEIIEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby recognizes Gary Reimann and Margaret Connolly as City <br />of i~:a~nsey Vohmteers of the Year. <br /> <br />Gary Reimann. In addition to serving as Mayor of Ramsey, Gary volunteers his <br />lim,'.: annually to the Ramsey Clean-up Day and Arbor Day activities. Gary is also <br />active in the Anoka Area Hockey Association and is a member of the Anoka <br />I%otball Boosters and the Anoka Hockey Boosters. Gary is also a member of the <br />Ramsey Lions and a past member of the Ramsey Jaycees and continues to <br />pariicipate in the Jaycees' Brunch with Santa Program. He also annually assists in <br />thc coordination of the Summerfest for St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oak Grove. <br /> <br />Mwgaret Connolly. Margaret has been actively involved in the elementary school <br /> volunteer. In the last year she has presented information to individual <br />cla:;srooms about owls, loons, turtles, bluebirds (and built houses for each <br />c:hu;sroom) and recycling. She has made 27 presentations on each. She has been <br />;,ctivc as a Key Communicator for the City as well as served on the Advisory <br />().mncil for Community Education. Margaret is very enthusiastic and willing to get <br />mwdved.
