Councilmem bcr Cich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-03-083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTe(ON SUPPORTING CITY STAFF DETERMINATION THAT USE OF <br />AND IMPR(~VEMENTS TO PIN 36-32-25-21-0006 BY WCCO ARE <br />PERMISSII~LE UNDER SECTION 170.015H OF THE CITY CODE (NON- <br />C()NFORM IN(;~ USES) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, PIN 36-32-25-21-0006 is located in the City of Ramsey, and is legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />The iqorth(,ast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 32, Range 25, <br />Anok ~ Cou my, Minnesota, described as follows: <br /> <br />Commcr~ci~tg at the northeast corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence south along the east <br />linc tbercuf 936.25 feet to the centerline of a town road; thence northwesterly to the right <br />delleci ion angle 96 degrees 41 minutes a distance of 604.08 feet; thence north parallel with <br />the ca~t !in,~ of said Northwest Quarter a distance of 865.73 feet, more or less, to the north <br />linc of said Northwest Quarter; thence east along the north line thereof a distance of 600.00 <br />feet, n tore (~r less, to the point of beginning. "Subject property". <br /> <br /> WI~IERE^ S~ the City of Ramsey considers the radio antenna on the property to be a non- <br />conforming u:~c; and <br /> <br /> W~IER [,;AS, Ramsey City Code Section 170.015H establishes criteria allowing for the <br />continuance of ,~(>~-conforming uses; and <br /> <br /> WIlEI{I,;/'~S, the City of Ramsey received a letter from Attorney Mark Hamel dated <br />November 27, 19~9, a copy of which is on file with the City of Ramsey, indicating WCCO's <br />interest in purchasing the subject site for use as a stand-by radio transmission facility with certain <br />improvemcnt,~;; an( <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of WCCO and City Staff met on January 16, 1990 to review <br />the proposexl use or and improvements to the subject site; and <br /> <br /> WIIERE/kS, City Staff determined that the proposed use of and improvements to the <br />subject property ¢:rc within the criteria allowing for the continuance of a non-conforming use <br />according Io P, amsey City Code Section 170.015H. <br /> <br />NOW, TtlEREVORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That thc City Council supports City Staff determination and hereby authorizes the issuance <br />of a letter to WCCO in substantially the form attached hereto, indicating that the proposed <br />usc t~f and improvements to the subject property as described in a letter to the City of <br />Ramscy Planning Assistant Sylvia Frolik from Attorney Mark Hamel dated November 27, <br />1989, :~'c. ~)crmissible under Ramsey City Code Section 170.015H (Non-Conforming <br />Uses). <br /> <br />The motion for fl~c adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson and Lq)tm vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> <br />
