Coun ciln ~c~ nbc'~' Pctcrson introduced thc following resolution and moved for its adoption. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-06-192 <br /> <br />RESOL1JTI¢}N REQUESTING MNDOT TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN <br />MEDIAN CI-~.OSS-OVERS ON T.H. #10 <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, MnDOT is in the process of completing a resurfacing project which <br />includes s! m~~, .:afcty improvements along T.H. #10 from Anoka to Elk River; and <br /> <br /> WtlEI<EAS, as part of the project, MnDOT is proposing to close off seven <br />median cross<>vers in the City of Ramsey located at approximate stations 349, 372, 399, <br />4t3,439,481 and 488 as shown on MnDOT construction plans; and <br /> <br /> WIIEI<EAS, the Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee met and contacted <br />landowntx's art;.:ct~ by the proposed median cross-over closings; and <br /> <br /> WIIIq..~EAS, landowners in the area are opposed to the closing of the median <br />cross-ovc~' at stations 349, 372, 399 and 481 due to financial impacts or added hardships <br />caused t)y ibc closing; and <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, in March of I988 the City of Ramsey, Burlington Northern <br />Railroad:. Mnl)OT and North Fork, Inc. entered into a stipulated agreement that the median <br />cross-over :ti ,._he weigh station (station 349) should stay in place at least two years <br />following the completion of the construction of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />NOW I'liER~.~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />~lhal: M~I)OT maintain the median cross-over at approximate stations 349, 372, 399 <br />a,xl 48 ii as shown on the construction plans for State Project No. 02000002-64 and <br />?1()]~.) ) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />'1 hai: thc obliteration of median cross-overs at approximate station 413, 439 and 488 <br />talcc place as part of State Project No. 0202-64 and 7101~50 to improve the safety <br />of T.~I. #10. <br /> <br />3) 'l'h~I City A~lministrator is directed to forward a copy of this resolution to MnDOT. <br /> <br />Thc n~oti{m for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Cotmcihncmbcr DeI.uca and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thercol': <br /> <br />and th(: following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
