Councilracmbcr DeLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-06-193 <br /> <br />RESOLUTI()N APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT .#89-15 (BLACKTOPPING AND SANITARY SEWER AND <br />WATER UTHATIES FOR DOLOMITE STREET N.W.) <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on May <br />8, 1990, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for <br />blacktopping and sanitary sewer and water utilities for Dolomite Street N.W. and has <br />present~l such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW TltEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />~l'hat contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a pm:t hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That thc City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br />paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of <br />such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. <br />The advertisement shall be published for twenty-one (21) days, shall specify the <br />work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator <br />until [ i :00 a.m. on July 24, 1990 at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />Ctmncil Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and <br />City Et_~gineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City <br />Council at 7:30 p.m. on August 14, 1990 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder <br />whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br />opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be <br />coasidcred unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by <br />a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of <br />I~amscy for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />Thc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councihncmbcr Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann <br />Cour~ci] member DeLuca <br />Core,ti}member Pearson <br />Counciimen~ber Cich <br />Cotmci~member Peterson <br /> <br />and the: fi)ilowir~g voted against the same: <br /> <br />and thc: foitowi.~g abstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
