Cotmciln~cmbcr })carson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-07-224 RES()Li~ITI()N APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #89-4 (153RD AVENUE N~/.) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on December 19, 1989, th City i~(ngmeer has prepared contract documents and specifications for constructing 153rd Avenue N~W. be~:ween Ramsey Boulevard N.W. and Nowthen Boulevard N.W. and has presented sn,:h contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW TIIERI<FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE'¥~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Tha~ st~ch contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and ma& a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) Tha'~: ii,: City Adnfinistrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in ~:h¢ Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such imp~'over[~ent under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advcrti%ement shall be published for twenty-one (21) days, shall specify the work to be don(;.~ shalli, state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on A~gust 2 l~ 1990 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the RamseS Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabula't{'d md will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m., August 28, 1990 i~~, t[~.e Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of re~pom~,ib:,lity. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check i>~.~y~!ble to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid.
