Cotmcilmetrd,:[ [ IcLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-230 <br /> <br />RESOLtSTi()N FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT ;~89~13 SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND <br />STREETS FOR RIVLYN AVENUE N.W.) <br /> <br /> W}i~;~EAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on July 25, 1989, the City <br />Administt~a~;or was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving with sanitary <br />sewer, watcrm;fin, ~;torm sewer, and street improvements for Rivlyn Avenue N.W.; and <br /> <br /> WH E [:rEA S, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been complected and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW T~IERE~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE~ AN(IKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Thai :t i~ca~'ing shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 8:15 p.m. to pass <br />upo~ st~ct:, proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />affecl cci by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br />as 5CY;SJ 1 lC Il i_, <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Tidal ~hl.. City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as:.;c:~:~mcm to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />hem'mg~ and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mai/¢,t notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That ih:: owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />asr;¢:;:;mcm to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interesi accrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />thc cmi~:c assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any ti~,~z thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />intcre~;i accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
