Councihr~cmb~:t DcLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-233 <br /> <br />RES()LUT~ON FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECTS #8{L14 & #8%27 SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER <br />AND STREF. TS~ FOR JUNIPER WOODS ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WI[[I~,REAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on July 25, 1989, the City <br />Administca/t,r was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving the sanitary <br />sewer, wDtc, t'J n~ d ~1., storm sewer, and slxeet improvements in the plat of Juniper Woods Addition; and <br /> <br /> WI[IEi~EAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been (:o~i)!cl¢,d and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW 'I'~IIEP.~,;FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY,, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Thai ;t l~ca;ing shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:30 p.m. to pass <br />upon .~;m:h proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />affec~c(! by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Tb a~ ~[:,: (Sty Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as:;e:;:;mem: to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />heari,t:,;, ,.'md he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mailc4 aotice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That ih~; owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as:;e:;smeni to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />inter¢~;i accrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />the cnti~'e ;:ssessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any fin~c thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />inter,y;i, accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
