Councihr~cmb~:t DcLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-08-233 RES()LUT~ON FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #8{L14 & #8%27 SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND STREF. TS~ FOR JUNIPER WOODS ADDITION) WI[[I~,REAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on July 25, 1989, the City Administca/t,r was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving the sanitary sewer, wDtc, t'J n~ d ~1., storm sewer, and slxeet improvements in the plat of Juniper Woods Addition; and WI[IEi~EAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been (:o~i)!cl¢,d and filed in his office for public inspection. NOW 'I'~IIEP.~,;FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Thai ;t l~ca;ing shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon .~;m:h proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affec~c(! by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such 2) Tb a~ ~[:,: (Sty Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed as:;e:;:;mem: to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the heari,t:,;, ,.'md he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailc4 aotice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. 3) That ih~; owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the as:;e:;smeni to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with inter¢~;i accrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if the cnti~'e ;:ssessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at any fin~c thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with inter,y;i, accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must l)t:- m,:tde before October 15 or interest will be charged through December 31 of the sm:cc{~{li~ year.
