Councilmcmb~ :1 DcLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-235 <br /> <br />RESOLU'5~I[(~N FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #89-15 SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND <br />STREETS !?~'}i~ DOLOMITE STREET N.W.) <br /> <br /> WI.~EREAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on July 25, 1989, the City <br />Administrator was directed, to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving with sanitary <br />sewer, w~}tcr,n:fi~ storm sewer, and street improvements for Dolomite Street N.W.; and <br /> <br /> Will,; REAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW T[IEgEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE¥, AN(~KA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That ;t l~ca~'ing shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 8:00 p.m. to pass <br />upon ~4~tc1¢ proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />affe{:te~.i by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br />aS ;C:.;:411 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That ~hc City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as:;e:~.~;~cni: to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />maile.:l notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />thm-~ tw. ~ weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Tt?at th;: c:wner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as:;e;;smcni to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />intcre~4t accrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />tht; cnli~'e assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any t i~:: i t~ereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />interest act~rued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
