Councilmcl ~b{;r [:,cLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-239 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT ~P}0~}3 RAMSEY TERRACE ADDITION STREET SEALCOATING) <br /> <br /> WIi(6;itEAS, by a resolution passed by the council on August 14, 1990, the City <br />Administra!or wa's directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving the streets in <br />the plat of R~qr-scy Terrace Addition; and <br /> <br /> W}I I,;I?.EAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been compictcd and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW THERa?~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Thai ;~ heating shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:05 p.m. to pass <br />upon :;~ ~cb proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />afJ'eclcd Dy such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br />aS SC:~:411 lC I'l [, <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Itu: City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as:;c~;:;mem to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />hearing, ar;d he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mailcd notice to ~ given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />than tw¢~ weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That ih,: owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as:;e:;smc,i to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interest ,ccrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />thc cn~b'c assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any liutc lhereafler, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />interc';i accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
