Cotmcilmcm bcr 1 )cLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-241 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOIl HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT ,~90.04 SEALCOATING OF MAGNESIUM STREET N.W. FROM <br />COUNTY g.O/;.D #116 TO ITS CUL-DE-SAC TERMINUS) <br /> <br /> WH~,;~.~.EAS, by a resolution passed by the council on August 14, 1990, the City <br />Administralor was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving Magnesium <br />Street N.W. ~ r(;m C. ounty Road gl 16 to its cul-de-sac terminus; and <br /> <br /> WHE!¢EAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been co~[>[cl¢'d and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMS]E-i/, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Thai :l I,cacing shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:10 p.m. to pass <br />upon s!~.ct~ proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />aff¢cled b'~, such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Tt'~at Ih~: City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as:;e:;:.av, cni: to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />he;~t-ir¢,:~ and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mailed aotice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />than t,~, > weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Tha~ d~,:~ owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as:;e:;smcni to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />inte~'~:st accrued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />thc cn li~'¢ ~ssessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any ti~ r,: £hereaFter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />inter~?;'t accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
