Councilmervbc:r DcLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-08-245 <br /> <br />RESOL~JTI(}N FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT ,~0-,08 WOODLAND GREEN ADDITION OVERLAY) <br /> <br /> Wt~E'~4tLAS, by a resolution passed by the council on August 14, 1990, the City <br />Administra~x~r was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving the streets in <br />Woodland Gw.~m Addition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been eompic, ted and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW THEt~.EI~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE¥~ AN¢~KA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Thai 4 hcadng shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:20 p.m. to pass <br />upon s~:[~ proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />affec;lcd by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Thai Iht: Cits; Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />as3¢s:4~ n(mt to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />hearing,: and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mailed ~otice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />th;m two weeks prior to thc hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That th~: owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as~';e:¢;n~¢ni to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />intere:gt acc:rued to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />th(; cnti~,'c assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any tim~: thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />interest accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
