W.) <br /> <br /> WI~IE~,I<AS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on July 25, 1989, the City <br />Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving the bituminous <br />surfacing ol~ Baugh Street N. W.; and <br /> <br /> WtitEt-'.EAS, the City Administrator has notified the Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been ::onq~k;tcd and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW TllERF, I,'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE¥~, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />q'ha'~ a hc;~ring shall be held on the 5th day of September in the City Hall at 7:50 p.m. to pass <br />upon :-;~c:h proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property <br />affccmd by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Thai ',.he (Sty Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />asscssn:cnt to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />hearh~g, a::d he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br />mailed nol i. ce to be, given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less <br />th:m iww.) weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Tha~ ti,z owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as:;es'.;n~cnr to be county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />imerest ao;med to the date of payment, to the city, except that no interest shall be charged if <br />th(: cnti..:'c assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at <br />any li,~,..,.: ~t~ereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with <br />intcre:;I accrtied to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made.
