Councilmcmbt r 1)cLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-08-276 RES()I,IJT~ON AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITII ANOK3. COUNTY FOR THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT COUNTY ROAD #116 AND ST. FRANCtS BOIJLEVARD N.W~ WIH~REAS, the City of Ramsey has expressed its concern over the need for the signalized t~'alTk: control devices at the intersection of County Road #116 and St. Francis Boulevard N.W.; and WIiERi,;AS, the County of Anoka has responded by preparing specifications for temporary 1ra[*l i~.: ~xmtrol signals at County Road #116 and St. Francis Boulevard N.W.; and WHI,;I*~EAS, the responsibility for electrical utility costs associated with traffic control signals ar,z Tr;td itionally the City's; and WllERE~-;, the City of Ramsey has previously passed Resolution #90-07-220 which authorizes thc Cily to enter into an agreement for installing and maintaining a temporary traffic signal at (~otn~ly road #116 and St. Francis Boulevard N.W.; and the City of Anoka will be supplying electrical service for said signals. NOW TI II~Rb;FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMS'Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Thru Ii,c City of Ramsey enter into the attached joint powers agreement with the City of Anok~ w t~ich defines the mutual responsibilities for providing electrical service to said facililic:;.
