Councilmcfn b~:~' I)cLuca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-09-305 <br /> <br />RES()LUT~(~N <br />BITUM~N()I IS <br />N.W.) <br /> <br />ADOPTING ASSESSMENT (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #90-12 <br />S/JRFACING OF 178TH AVENUE N.W. AND 178TH CIRCLE <br /> <br /> WI IEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Ramsey City <br />Council ha,,; ~r, ct :md heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />following bittmfinous surfacing improvement: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br /> Avenue N.W. between County Road #83 eastward to the southern plat <br />mdmy of Windsorwood Addition <br /> <br />b) 17;:;th Circle N.W. between 178th Avenue N.W. and its cul-de-sac terminus <br /> <br />NOW TIII,;a~,;FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMS;EV~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That ~-;t,;h 9roposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, <br />is h~cl~y .tccepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named <br />therein;, :~d each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the <br />lm)l)oscd i;t the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Thai ,~;m:l~ ;~sscssment shall be payable in equal ammal installments extending over a period <br />of ten yom's, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in <br />Jam~a%,~ 1 !.)9 l and shall bear interest at the rate of 8.8 per cent annum from the date of the <br />adol)ti(m o'i' this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on <br />thc cr,,ti~'(; t~ssessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1990. To each <br />sub:;c:l~cn~_ installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That th(:. ~r, vaer of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />as,,;e,,;,':mcnl to the Anoka County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />prop~,:,qy, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Department, <br />ex{;ep! that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from <br />thc ad(}i;ti()n of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance <br />De l):~rt~(.',ni the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to <br />Dec(;~&~,cr 31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made <br />befo~-e (k,i(,ber 10, or interest will be charged through December 31 of the next succeeding <br />ye~tr, <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Th;~t a ;.:~:~'ti ~'ied duplicate of this assessment be transmitted to the Anoka County Auditor's <br />off icc t(', i~c extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and such assessments shall be <br />collccl(:d ;md paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br /> <br />
