Councilnlcmbc. r Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-11-366 RESOLU'tiON AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE RAMSEY FilRF, DEPARTMENT AND ADOPTING 1990 BUDGET AMENDMENT #11 W lIER EAS; the Fke Department has received price quotes for the following items: $7,600 3,288 Compressor Personal gear - 4 sets @ $822 each Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBAs) - 3 @ $1,070 each 3,210 24~' portable gas fan 1,295 [Ieat detection unit 750 Total $16,143 AND W~IEREAS, due to time constraints this request was not presented to the Fire Board for disc~tssion; this equipment must be in place on or before the fn:st of the year; and Wltt,;~!,;AS, this capital expenditure was not included in the Fire Department's 1990 budget; and Wlti~;R I,;AS, as these are considered start-up items, funding for this purchase is available fi'om the I ,an, If ill Trust Fund; and WHEREAS, this budget amendment will increase the City's total 1990 General Fund budgeted expenditures by the amount of $16,143; and WHEREAS, this budget amendment will increase the City's total 1990 General Fund budgeted vcv,:n m';s: Other Financing Sources by the amount of $16,143. NOW TIIEJlO,;FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSt,;¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) the City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of the above stated equipment ~he Ramsey Fire Department in the total amount of $16,143. 2) 'Fhat the Finance Officer of the City of Ramsey is hereby instructed to enter 1990 llu,:lget Amendment #11 into the City's financial systems to cause the budget ~t~ uc;ndment detailed in this resolution to be reflected in the City's financial records.
