Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-02-028 RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATION PERIOD FOR CITY ENGINEER STEVEN JANKOWSKI WHEREAS, Steven Jankowski began employment at the City of Ramsey on July 30, 1990, as City Engineer in salary grade 7, with an annual salary of $42,000; and WHEREAS, as stated in the City Code Personnel Policy that every original appointment is subject to a probationary period of six months after appointment, and the six-month probationary period for Steven Jankowski expired on January 30, 1991; and WHEREAS, at the direction of the Personnel Committee, Acting City Administrator Sandra Ashley and Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney have given an employee performance appraisal that was satisfactory and recommended retaining Mr. Jankowski at the City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and WHEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and, as Mr. Jankowsk[ was hired at a rate above the entry rate of salary grade 7, there was no salary increase; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee at their February 5, 1991 meeting agreed with the recommendation of staff to retain Mr. Jankowski as a regular full-time employee effective January 30, 1991. NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) The City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to end the probationm'y period for Steven Jankowski and change in status to full- time regular employee effective January 30, 1991. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Cich Councihnember Hardin Councilmember Beyer and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
