Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-02-029 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATION PERIOD FOR PUBLIC WORKS <br />MAINTENANCE WORKER JAMES LACEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James Lacey began employment at the City of Ramsey on May 23, 1990, as <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker in salary grade 2, with an annual salary of $17,790; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract, of which Mr. Lacey is a member, the <br />probationary period for new employees is six-months (upon completion of 1,040 hours), and the <br />six-month probationary period for James Lacey expired on November 23, 1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mark Boos, Parks/Utility Coordinator and Mr. Lacey's immediate <br />supervisor, has given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal for Mr. Lacey and <br />recommended retaining Mr. Lacey at the City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and, as Mr. Lacey <br />was hired at the six-month rate of salary grade 2, there was no salary increase per the AFSCME <br />contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Supervisor Mede Mevissen, City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />and Acting City Administrator Sandra Ashley agreed with the recommendation of Mark Boos; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee at their February 5, 1991 meeting agreed with the <br />recommendation of staff to retain Mr. Lacey as a regular full-time employee effective November <br />23, 1990. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Conncil of the City of Ramsey conf'nms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to end the probationary period for James Lacey and change in status to full-time <br />regular employee effective November 23, 1990. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Cou ncihnember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmernber Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />anct the following abstained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
