Counciln~embm' Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 4/91-02-052 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1990 AND 1991 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS IN THE YEAR 1991 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has 1990 and 1991 CDBG allocations totalling <br />$51,770.00 available for CDBG projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been <br />determined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens or to <br />rehabilitate areas of slum and blight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public heating on Wednesday, <br />February 27, 1991 regarding the use of 1990 and 1991 CDBG allocations. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1990 and 1991 Community <br />Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: <br /> <br />Project Amount <br /> <br />County Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />Public Service Agencies <br />Senior Center Carpet <br />County Administration Fee <br /> <br />$35,000 <br />$10,000 <br />$ 4,770 <br />$ 1,000 <br /> <br />$51,770 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a copy of this resolution and a preliminary project application request form be <br />forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councihnember Peterson <br />Cotmciln~ennber Cich <br />Counciln~ember Hardin <br /> <br /> <br />
