Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-03-059 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE <br />NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE FOR <br />BARGAINING UNIT CONTRACTS <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />THE 1991 AFSCME AND LELS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Negotiating Committee, consisting of Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin <br />and Peterson and Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney, met and negotiated with the AFSCME <br />and LELS bargaining units in January and February of 1991 for a one-year contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there were tentative agreements made with both bargaining units contingent <br />upon City Council approval and a bargaining unit membership vote; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at their meeting of February 27, 1991, approved the <br />recommendation of the Negotiating Committee for both bargaining units; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both the AFSCME and the LELS bargaining unit memberships have voted <br />to accept the offer for the one year contracts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the AFSCME and LELS 1991 contracts are being prepared for signing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after signing by appropriate City Staff and Union Representatives, the 1991 <br />contracts will take effect retroactive to January 1, 1991. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey approves the recommendation of the <br />Negotiating Committee for the 1991 AFSCME and LELS bargaining unit contracts in <br />accordance with the terms of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
