Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-03-059 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE FOR BARGAINING UNIT CONTRACTS RECOMMENDATION OF THE THE 1991 AFSCME AND LELS WHEREAS, the Negotiating Committee, consisting of Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin and Peterson and Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney, met and negotiated with the AFSCME and LELS bargaining units in January and February of 1991 for a one-year contract; and WHEREAS, there were tentative agreements made with both bargaining units contingent upon City Council approval and a bargaining unit membership vote; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at their meeting of February 27, 1991, approved the recommendation of the Negotiating Committee for both bargaining units; and WHEREAS, both the AFSCME and the LELS bargaining unit memberships have voted to accept the offer for the one year contracts; and WHEREAS, the AFSCME and LELS 1991 contracts are being prepared for signing; and WHEREAS, after signing by appropriate City Staff and Union Representatives, the 1991 contracts will take effect retroactive to January 1, 1991. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey approves the recommendation of the Negotiating Committee for the 1991 AFSCME and LELS bargaining unit contracts in accordance with the terms of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Cich Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Beyer and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
