Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-03-062 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF MARCH 10 - 16, 1991 AS GIRL <br />SCOUT WEEK IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gift Scouts of the United States of America recognizes that today's girls <br />will be tomorrow's leaders; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Girl Scouts of the United States of America is the largest voluntary <br />organization for girls in the world and draws upon a large resource of positive adult role models; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Girl Scout Movement continues to emphasize leadership and personal <br />and career development for girls; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, our community and work will be the direct beneficiaries of the skilled young <br />women who are Girl Scouts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby proclaims the week of March 10 - 16, 1991 to be <br />Girl Scout Week in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 13th day of March, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
