Councilmember Cich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption RESOLUTION #91-03-069 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF UTILITY BILLS APPROVAL BY THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT HEAD OR ADMINISTRATOR UPON CITY WHEREAS, utility bills (electricity, natural gas, telephone and other like expenditures) are generally due within 15 days from date of invoice; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey's approval/check processing procedure generally results in a 30 day turn-around for payment; and WHEREAS, the City frequently is charged a late payment fee from utility companies. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Office to make payment of utility bills upon approval of the appropriate Department Head or City Administrator. 2) That such payments be detailed in the subsequent prepaid check register which is submitted to Council for review. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Cich Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councihnember Hardin and the following voted against same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: NO ne whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of March, 1991. lVl~yor ATTEST: City Administrator
