Councilmember Cich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-03-073 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF APRIL AS "KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL MONTH IN RAMSEY" WHEREAS~ the City of Ramsey is rich in natural resources and beauty; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey believes that every citizen should contribute to keeping his/her environment clean and healthful by working together to preserve clean air, fresh water and the natural beauty of his/her surroundings; and WHEREAS, Keep America Beautiful, Inc., the national nonprofit, public service organization responsible for involving individuals in community improvement, originated KAB Month to focus attention on the efforts of concerned Americans. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey does hereby proclaim the month of April as "Keep America Beautiful Month in Ramsey". 2) That all citizens from businesses, civic groups, government agencies and other organizations are asked to work together to preserve the natural beauty of our City not only during Keep America Beautiful Month, but throughout the year. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Cich Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the this the 26th day of March, 1991.
