Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-04-092 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />1991 STREET CRACK SEALING PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for price quotes for this project, quotes were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following quotes were received <br />complying with the request: <br /> <br />BIDDER <br /> <br />AMOUNT OF,BID <br /> <br />Bergman Co., Inc. <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br /> <br />$11,710.70 <br />$12,355.20 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin <br />is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this project will be funded under a combination of special assessments, <br />MSA Construction Funds and the City's General Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the name of the <br />City of Ramsey for the 1991 Street Crack Sealing Program according to the plans and <br />specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of <br />the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br />bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich <br /> <br /> <br />
