AND WHEREAS, it is recommended by Staff that the following bids be awarded: 1. Lawn Mower - James Gromberg; $50.01 2. Snowblower - Merle Mevissen; $75 3. Typewriter - Kathy Johnson; $10 6. Tar Kettle - Stepp Mmiufacturing; $750 7. Garage Door Openers - Greg Talbot; $20 9. Sickle Mower ~ Leonard Duerr; $30 AND WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and WHEREAS, Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve Jankowski recommend that the bids for the pump (item 4) be rejected, as the pump is valued at $6,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pump; and WItEREAS, Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve Jankowski recommend that the rids for the irrigation pipe (item 5) be rejected, as the pipe is valued at $10,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pipe. WHEREAS, no bids were received for the fertilizer spreader (item 8). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) That the Ramsey City Council hereby awards bids for surplus items 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9 as noted above and directs the l>ublic Works Supervisor and Administrative Coordinator to notify successful bidders. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby rejects bids for surplus items 4 and 5 as noted above and will retain these items as well as item 8 for which there were no bids received.
