Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #91-06-135 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #91-07 (SEALCOATING IMPROVEMENT OF A <br />PORTION OF SECTION 11) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 28, 1991, <br />the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating <br />improvement of a portion of Section 11 and has presented such contract documents and <br />specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for twenty one (21) days, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 P.M. on <br />July 2, 1991 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be <br />tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 P.M. on July 9, 1991 <br />in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councihnember Hardin <br />Councihnember Cich <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br /> <br />
