Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-08-175 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GRANT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY FOR PURCHASE OF BRUSH CHIPPING EQUIPMENT WITH <br />CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 21, 1991, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution g91-05- <br />123 which designated $7,995.00 of the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund balance for the 50% match <br />funding source required as a part of the Metropolitan Landfill Abatement Grant application for a <br />brush chipper; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 8, 1991, the Metropolitan Council approved the grant application <br />subject to a change from the original application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this change requires the City of Ramsey increase the local cash match from <br />$7,995.00 to the sum of $10,343.00 or 65% of the equipment purchase price. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts funding in the amount of $5,647.00 from the <br />Metropolitan Landfill Abatement Fund - Capital Assistance Program for purchase of a <br />brush chipper. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby designates the sum of $10,343.00 of the Landfill Tipping Fee <br />Fund balance as the City's portion of the brush chipper purchase price. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby directs staff activities as specified in the grant application that <br />will result in General Fund expenditures that total $9,763.32 during the three year period of <br />the grant. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to sign the grant agreement <br />between the Metropolitan Council and the City of Ramsey on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Councilmember Beyer <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Cich <br /> <br />the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
