Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-08-191 RESOLUTION OFFERING PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER POSITION TO GREGG BELSAAS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey posted and advertised the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker in salary grade 2; and and WHEREAS, eighty-six (86) City of Ramsey applications were received for the position; WHEREAS, six (6) applicants were interviewed for the position by Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney and Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen; and WHEREAS, two (2) finalists were interviewed by the Personnel Committee and City Administrator Ryan Schroeder on August 6, 1991; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee recommended that the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker be offered to Gregg Belsaas at the six-month rate of salary grade 2, $18,591 annually, subject to the six-month probationary period and increase to the 1 year minimum of $20,656 upon completion of one-year; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee has the authority to offer positions of employment in salary grades 2 or below; and WHEREAS, Mr. Belsaas was offered and accepted the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker in salary grade two, with an annual salary of $18,591, effective approximately August 19, 1991. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confh-m the offer to and acceptance by Gregg Belsaas for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker in salary grade 2 to begin employment approximately August 19, 1991 at $18,591 annually. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Cich and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
