Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for it adoption: RESOLUTION #91-09-218 RESOLUTION GRANTING CURBSIDE RECYCLING MANAGEMENT, INC. AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT FOR PICK-UP WITH ACE SOLID WASTE WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required to provide curbside recycling service for its residents under the 1989 SCORE legislation; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received competitive bids from independent contractors for performing the Curbside Recycling Service; and WHEREAS, the contract will expire on September 30, 1991; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved the contract at its February 27, 1991 meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its June 25, 1991 meeting, authorized extension of the current contract with Ace Solid Waste Management, Inc. at the contracted price until July 1, 1992. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to amend the contract with Ace Solid Waste Management, Inc. with an extension of the completion date to July 1, 1992. 2) That the extended contract shall be under the same terms of the contract approved at the February 27, 1991 City Council meeting. The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
